the pre-blog blog of sorts.

i've been writing for as long as i can remember, (poetry, music, short stories, etc) and for a long long time i shared all of these musings with a community of strangers on an online forum which shall remain nameless. ;-) i think i discovered the site in late 2000, also known as my senior year of high school, and i continued posting throughout that year and through my college experiences. it was an online diary of sorts. a little bit like the pre-blog blog, but a hell of a lot more personal. i have even posted on that site as recent as a year ago, but it's so seldom these days, it almost doesn't count. i stumbled across that site again the other night after too many glasses of wine and took the time to work through the site and revist so many posts i had made years and years ago. it was a surreal experience. however, i will say that i am a completely different person at 24 than i was at 19. and i like who i am now so much better. so here's to 5 more years. hopefully at 29 i'll read this and have the same thoughts.
